I’m gonna say it. I let my kids watch television. Especially between the hours of 8 and 9am and 6pm until dinner is ready. The boys go to bed anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30pm, and dinner is usually between then as well. Of course there is tv at other times of the day, but Roo really tunes in at those times, and the others just uses it as background noise and tends to dance along to songs.
Some nights I like to put the boys to bed a touch earlier so Paul and I can have dinner just with Rory, and make her feel special. This obviously means a later dinner and a more tired Roo, so I find it best to feed her something she loves (fish and chips is on the menu tonight) and to distract her until dinner us ready. Cue Giggle and Hoot’s bedtime hour on ABC2.
