Little Mother Hen

Just now, as the boys were playing there was a shift in the mood of play. They were playing with the same toy (a turtle tambourine to be exact) and it turned into a rather spirited, and then rather angsty tug of war.
Enter Roo, who seeing this toy rushes over and takes it from the boys. I was about to reprimand her for taking their toy when she placed it on the shelf out of her brothers’ reach. She grabbed a bucket of shape blocks, tipped it out in front of them and then walked away from them, back to her own game.

Children are never to be underestimated.

Very clever. Aren't you lucky to have such a little diplomat at your side.

I am always amazed at the mothering instinct of little girls. Watch how Roo carries her dolls as opposed to your little boys, when they get older. There is definitely a difference.Isn't it great that you don't always have to be on watch when you've got such a great little helper there with you!?

Oh thanks for the laugh! LOVE this! And thanks for stopping by my blog. I can't imagine having twins when my oldest was 17 months old. Following you back!
