I’m terrified.
This is the first week of the new study period.
I’m studying again after having a few months off.
Because those few months were promising to be very busy, I made the decision to skip the study period.
And now I’ve realized the next few months are promising the same level of busy.
In fact, the next few years are promising this level of busy-ness.
As such I’ve decided that I am, in fact, a crazy person.
Studying from home with three small children.
It sounds sane enough.
Unless you know my children.
Fraser is currently trying to ride a dump truck he received from Roo for his birthday.
It’s a $5 job and has a zero weight limit.
Needless to say I’ve had to reattach the tray multiple times.
Oscar is walking around clutching his Ted and his concrete truck. Until Fraser drops his dump truck.
Then Oscar swoops in and nicks the dump truck and leaves Fraser howling on the ground like someone tried to poke his eyes out.
Which is probably how Oscar got hold of the truck in the first place.
Roo has been quiet this morning.
Which generally means I’m up for a loud and tantrummy afternoon.
And somewhere in between the 6 loads of washing, kitchen, bathroom, folding, baking and vacuuming, I’ve got to find time to do the weekly reading materials and tutorial exercises before the live tutorial tonight.
Not to mention my supervisory duties.
Because no one likes walking into a room and finding one kid standing on the arm of the couch, one standing on top of the TV unit and one in the corner surrounded by the entire contents of ones computer desk drawers.
However, I am determined not to fall behind.
I will do this.
Even if it means the dulcet tones of toddler screeches increases temporarily.
It’s worth it.
Right?
Right?!?!
OH MY GOD! You ARE a crazy person. Completely crazy. But, of course, I totes support you. You’re ace. You can do it. Umm… good luck?

Yep, you certainly are nuts, but it will be SO worth it. The opportunities, the prospects, the stimulation for your brain, the impact it will have on your children (them having a mummy who’s engaged and interested in the outside world – but for anyone who’s reading into it – that’s not the only way to be engaged with the outside world)…there are so many reasons why it’s a good thing to do. Just don’t ask me to do it with you!!! I can’t even write a blog post, let alone something that requires thought! You are a brave and wonderful woman Daisy, x

You are amazing to try to do it all! Parenting, studying and blogging (and I am sure you do so much more). I hope you can enjoy it and know that the craziness won’t last forever (that is what I keep telling myself too).
Ohhh I feel for you! I am enjoying a celebratory sparkling moscato to ring in the end of my first session of full time uni! Last test was today and I am so glad that session is done and dusted so I can start fresh next session. I have this week off, then a week of prac then straight back into the new session.

I have no idea how people study with kids at home. I firstly have a crap memory, and secondly the interruptions/ distractions would drive me batty. I am sure you can do though! x
