I tortured myself yesterday.
Knowing that my not coping is directly related to my boys’ reaching milestones and (shock horror) getting bored, I knew I had to change something.
And so, like the good little blogger I am, I spent as much time as I could looking at my favourite go-to kids’ activity/staying sane during kids’ fun blogs.
And at the first stop I found this.
I’m seething with jealousy.
I WANT that rumpus room.
And I WANT Shae to come and set it up for me.
Also to clean it.
Failing that, I’ve decided to sneak $100 from the family budget and head down to the shops and see what I can see.
And by sneak I mean I’ve told Pal that if this $100 doesn’t exist within the budget, I don’t care.
I would rather default on our mortgage than go one more day living in this mountain goat overrun, juice-bath loving house full of toddlers without their own space.
You heard right – $100 to set up a half decent play area on my front porch.
Within one day.
Look out!
This is what the porch looks like as of 11pm last night:
Random assortment of vac-packed kids’ clothes, portacot, pram accessories, baby playstations, single pram, massive annoying cupboard, Precious (who will still need to fit on the porch as it is her home), chalk wall, meshed fence for protection against and for mountain goats.
I will be tweeting/instagramming/facebooking my day as I go, from start to finish.
I’ll be back tonight with a proper update!
Either I do this, or my doctor is going to need to prescribe me some tranquillisers.
Wish me luck!

Good luck Daisy! You can do it!

I’d LOVE to come set up your playroom. But the cleaning? No deal.
Goooo Daisy.

Surely there must be a market for a reality TV show in there somewhere – The Block – Playroom Style! Look forward to seeing the end results!

Lol I’m just writing the after post now and there may or may not be multiple references to the Block!
Huh! That is exactly what I’m doing this weekend, due to Miss nearly 2 and her boredom. Except our spare living area, as opposed to porch. Must clean out and completely childproof, am also sitting on a budget of no more than $100. Can’t wait to see your finished pics!! (inspire me!)
Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Nothing like a good play-room make-over!

Very exciting. I assume you have already started and are quite possibly almost finished but if not leave it empty apart from a few balls and balloons and a nice decent slide. I dream of having a playroom.
