Mind. Blown. Peace of mind that is.
I can’t take credit for these photos. In fact, this post was designed after my husband showed me these pictures, in this order.
He said: “Aren’t you glad it was me who caught them?”

For the record, Pal, the children are glad it was you who caught them pulling out the carefully folded contents of my linen cupboard.
I’m just glad I’m not the one who had to clean it up.
Make me feel better. Please share your own story of your children going along behind you and destroying the small amount of peace of mind you had knowing you’d actually started AND finished a chore in one day.
From here this is very funny.

Oh gosh, how annoying!! Good thing you didn’t have to tidy up Daisy.
I don’t have any pictures but last Saturday my son decided to get the red food coloring out of the cupboard and squirt some on the carpet, in the doorway of my bedroom ARGH!!!! Still trying to get the stain out :-/
You and I are so on the same page today, my friend. I’ve posted pictures of my two little devils turning the master bedroom in Chez ‘Abulous into their own version of the “snow fields”. They wanted to play “winter wonderland”. Guess who had to clean it up? Hint: It was not my husband.

Roo even looks like she’s saying “shhh don’t tell Mum”. lol
If that was our house I’d have had to clean it up anyway as anyone else would just shove it all in the shelf.

Oh no lol. I’m glad it wasn’t you who caught them either lol. I remember hannan pulling out all her clothes from her draws. he also emptied all the cereal from their containers. Sat their eating them. took my brand new red lippy and used it all on her self. Including my brand new mascara.
I don’t ever remember the older two doing anything remotely close to what hannan’s done.
I now have aneesah who is worse. Seriously what kid takes pepper and eats pepper.

The little ratbags! My worst mess day was the first week end hubby was away for work, so I was cranky about that to start with! First Master 2 decided to paint (himself, his bed, the walls AND carpet) with a brand new, large tub of nappy rash zinc cream. The carpet has never been the same! And while I was cleaning up that disaster, Master 6 was playing quietly with his new tub of black slime, gifted by a mad auntie (only mad aunties give black slime to small boys!!). when he finished with it, he couldn’t find the tub, so he carefully wrapped it in a piece of tulle (!!??) and put it on HIS carpet! AArrrggghhhh!!!!! Tulle, surprising, does NOT contain black slime. They were lucky to survive that day…
I scrubbed my bathroom yesterday. Got a scrubbing brush and soaked the walls in mould kill and all manner of cleaning products.
Then Ava cleaned the mirror for me.
And the toilet bowl.
And the bench.
And the cupboard doors.
With toothpaste.

Oh lordy! See this is exactly why we live out of washing baskets! I’ve never recovered from the day I had spent ages folding washing – the entire bed was covered, ready for it to be put away. I left the room & came back to find Bam Bam standing in the middle throwing it up in the air letting it “snow” around him. Yes, those kids are lucky Pal found them

LOL Sorry for laughing. Sort of. Yep, I don’t think I’ve actually experienced one day – since my second child was born – of starting and finishing a chore!

No, laugh away! I think it’s funny too! Probably because I didn’t have to clean it up! Oh man, I want to finish something so badly sometimes! Obviously i like to see results! Just a shame I never do, haha!
