I’ve decided that it’s time.
Time to focus on the positives.
And what that means, is that it’s time for me to get over myself.
Yes, I am having a rough time.
But no, life is not terrible.
In fact, life is pretty dang amazing.
So I am taking time to notice the small things. Appreciate the mundane. Find the beauty in the everyday.
And here’s what’s making me stop, take notice, sit up and SMILE.
Sunny days
New nieces
Lemon Meringue Cake (not pie). Recipe can be found here (I just omitted the limes).
Pretty new mugs, hanging in a row
Pots of tea, left for me to wake up to
Running in search of puddles on the first sunny day after rain
Pretty little heads resting the same way. Even if only for 10 minutes
Clouds shaped like tea pots
Ears. Same, but different. Just like my boys
Progress. Stitch by stitch. Row by row. Square by square.
Progress.
What’s making you smile today?
I adore your new mugs! Gorgeous x

You have the same approach as me, I call it ‘living in the now’ it grounds me often. I’m exhausted, my eye twitches.. But sometimes finding the smallest of clues gives me hope.. And a smile.. That I’m on the right track.
Daisy, I need that cake in my life also.

it’s tough isn’t it, I’m a bit wah wah me at the moment. so despite the fact that the bathroom needs cleaning, the dish washer needs unstacking, there is a mountain of washing. I spent a few hours this morning after school drop off and crocheted whilst my boys sat in front of the TV. felt pretty bloody satisfying to say the least. that’s whats making me smile on this munday Monday. Have a good one Daisy.

Did you know that when you go through customs and immigration at the airport, and your child’s passport photo is from when they were a baby, they can tell it’s the same child by his or her ears? A customs officer told me that once, he said that everyone’s ears are different, like a fingerprint.
Love that you get excited by pretty mugs too. x

I have to say at the moment it’s listening to my son playing and how he is using his imagination so much more now and putting his words into sentences alot more. It’s awesome how much he has turned into a great lil guy and I have to say I have myself a pat on the back the other day when he opened the fridge door and wanted fruit.
Right at this moment, I have K-Bear on my lap, watching Mike the Knight while happily munching on some corn chips . A content little boy always makes me smile. Love the teapot clouds. Very dreamy. Sending you hugs, Daisy xoxoxo
